Professional biography
Alissa Brooks is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York and serves as a Clinical Supervisor. She received her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego and her Master’s degree through the Greater Rochester Collaborative Program at Nazareth College and SUNY Brockport.
Alissa has experience supporting children ages 0–21, adults, and families across school, home, and community settings. Her areas of focus include trauma and stressor-related concerns, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and work with individuals on the autism spectrum.
Alissa integrates Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, play therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation to support individuals throughout the therapeutic process.
Drawing on extensive experience, Alissa works collaboratively with clients to shape an individualized approach. She creates a welcoming setting that supports clients in identifying strengths and developing skills and strategies to cope with mental health concerns.
